Welcome to Spooky Season



The Corridor offers a variety of festive, family-friendly Halloween events, making it the perfect place to enjoy spooky celebrations with kids. From traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating to creative trunk-or-treat events, there’s something for everyone in Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, Marion, North Liberty, Coralville, and Iowa City. Here are some top spots for Halloween fun this year:


1. CRFD’s Truck or Treat Open House

When: October 20th, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Where: Come join us for our second annual Truck or Treat Open House! This family friendly event is sure to be one you won’t want to miss. Children’s costume contest, self guided tours, activities for children, and CANDY! 713 1st Ave SE, Cedar Rapids.


2. Trunk or Treat 2024

When: October 24th, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Where: Join us for Tanager and Eastern Iowa Health Centers’ 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat! This fun and spooky celebration will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5PM – 6:30PM at Tanager’s Estle Center parking lot. Check out the decorated vehicles and booths, fill your bag with treats, play games, and learn more about local resources. We hope to see you there!


3. Trunk or Treat 2024 at Good Shepherd

When: October 30th, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Where: Trunk or Treat provides a safe environment for families to enjoy a free afternoon of Halloween fun. No costume? No Problem! Come as you are. At Good Shepherd we go beyond trick-or-treat candy with bouncy slide hot dogs and plenty of fun. Thanks to our large indoor space Trunk or Treat is rain or shine.


4. Trick or Treating at Boyson Heights

When: October 30th, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Where: Calling all goblins, ghouls & witches! Come trick-or-treat at Boyson Heights this year! 765 Boyson Road NE, Cedar Rapids


5. Safe Halloween for Kids

When: October 20th, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Where: Enjoy the annual old-fashioned Halloween at the village with trick-or-treating, games, and costume contests. Registering in advance is encouraged, but not required. Ushers Ferry Historic Center.


6. 14th Annual Wickiup Fall Fest

When: October 26th, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Where: Come out and experience our friendly trick or treat hike through the woods, pumpkin bowling, straw scramble, creepy critters, and more! Aimed at ages 3-10, but younger and older siblings welcome. Costumes encouraged! Cost $3/child. Wickiup Hill Learning Center.


7. Trick-or-Treat at Cottage Grove Dental Care

When: October 30th, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Where: Cottage Grove Dental Care presents their first annual TRICK OR TREAT! Join them for an evening of spooky safe fun! Wednesday, October 30th, 4-6pm in the Cottage Grove Dental Care parking lot.


8. Trunk or Treat at the Play Cafe

When: October 26th, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Where: Trunk or Treating: Check out creative trunks and collect goodies! Photo Contest: Snap spooky pics and win fun prizes! Family Fun: Enjoy games, crafts, and more! Free Admission! Come explore our space and celebrate Halloween with the community!


9. Trunk-or-Treat The Local Hub

When: October 20th, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Where: Ready for the BEST trunk or treating in Johnson County!? Join The Local Hub for their second annual TRUNK OR TREAT! Join them and 20+ local businesses for this community event! With loads of candy, games, music, face painting, and activities for ALL AGES! Iowa River Landing, Coralville, IA


10. Halloween Storytime at the Hiawatha Public Library

When: October 31st, 10am

Where: Let’s get a jump start on Halloween. Alicia will share fun stories and we’ll do the Monster Boogie! Then, it’s time to trick-or-treat inside the library. No tricks! I promise. Kids and their caregivers are welcome to attend.


11. Trunk or Treat

When: October 27th, 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Where: Free Community Event with food, safe trick or treating for all! St. Paul Community along with local organizations and businesses will be hosting Trunk or Treat rain or shine. We will be providing grilled hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink to all free of charge. Costumes encouraged but not required for trunk or treating. All are welcome and accepted to come enjoy a night of fun, games, food, treats and free smiles.103 E Cedar St, Anamosa, IA


12. 11th Annual Halloween Bash

When: October 27th, 11:00 AM

Where: The ICM Halloween Bash is BACK for another year! Join them for games, crafts and activities, indoor trick-or-treating, and returning this year--a GIANT CANDY GRAB! Costumes are encouraged, but not required. And don’t forget your candy buckets, because you’ll go home with TONS of goodies! Located at The Celebration Farm, 4696 Robin Woods Lane Northeast Iowa City, IA.


Whether you’re in Cedar Rapids, Marion, or Iowa City, Halloween in the Corridor is packed with fun and safe activities for all ages. With so many events across the area, families are sure to find the perfect way to celebrate Halloween close to home.
